Summer Shanty’s and Sweet Ales: What’s on Tap This Summer at BlueLine

The warm weather brings lots of changes to our neck of the woods. Obvious weather changes, outdoor activity changes - even wardrobe changes. So as you stuff away the winter sweaters and pull on your favorite pair of shorts (praying they still fit), let’s take a look at the summer specialty brews we have on tap at BlueLine South and BlueLine Sartell.

Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy

Attend any adult summer get-together and you’re bound to find Leinie's Summer Shandy. Brewed in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, this refreshing brew features a hint of natural lemonade flavor and pairs well with BBQ, fruit salads, watermelon, and fish - basically anything you’d find at a summer gathering!

Hops

Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA

For the hops fans, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA combines a delicious balance of citra and mosaic hops. This India Pale Ale features a juicy grapefruit flavor that hits all the right notes for summer.

Blue Moon Belgian White

This year-round beer features a hint of sweetness, a touch of coriander, and Valencia orange peel for a spicy-sweet citrus flavor. Pair this with grilled seafood and Asian dishes.

Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen

For the complex beer enthusiast, this Bavarian beer emits notes of licorice, clove, banana, and (of course) apricot. This Salt Lake City brew is available on tap only at BlueLine South.

Surley Xtra Citra

A light beer from Surly Furious? Why not! This pale ale is chock full of citra hops, which give it a citrusy, tropical flavor. Taste the brighter side of Surly at BlueLine South.

Apple

Angry Orchard Crisp Apple

If you’re looking for a good hard cider for summer, you can’t go wrong with the classic Crisp Apple from Angry Orchard. This sweet yet acidy beer gives you the feeling of biting into a crisp apple.

Castle Danger Cream Ale

As a kid, not much beat grabbing a cold cream soda out of the fridge on a hot summer day – except maybe a cherry icee, but we haven’t figured out how to capture that in a beer...yet. Now that you’re all grown up, it’s time to upgrade you cream soda experience, and Castle Danger’s Castle Cream Ale is the best way to do it. This sessionable beer gives off a malty aroma and finishes with a creamy texture. Taste it for yourself at BlueLine in Sartell.

Beaver Island Fabulous Armadillo

Last (well, not last - we have a ton more options available on tap!) we have a beer that is destined to be a local favorite: Beaver Island Fabulous Armadillo. This beer is a salute to a local musical group and hits your taste buds with tangerine and clementine flavors and just a hint of honeydew melon. Taste this brew at BlueLine South.
